The Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) Service
QSUT – National Referral Center
The Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) Service at QSUT represents the ultimate referral center and the only specialized unit in Albania for the management of a wide range of diseases affecting the ear, nose, and throat.
The activities of this service include specialized medical consultations, diagnostic examinations (such as audiometry, tympanometry, ABR, etc.), as well as a range of routine surgical interventions (adeno-tonsillectomy, septoplasty, etc.). Additionally, specialized procedures are performed for the removal of foreign bodies (including esophagoscopy and rigid bronchoscopy), services which are currently offered exclusively at this unit on a national level.
The service also treats complex first-category pathologies, including oncological diseases and specialized ear surgery such as cochlear implantation.

Specialized Consultations
Each year, approximately 3,400 specialized visits are conducted in the consultation department.
Surgical Interventions
An average of 1,236 surgical interventions are performed annually in the operating room.
Emergency Service
Operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, covering emergencies in Tirana and throughout the entire territory of Albania.
